Our History
Founded in 1892 by 25-year-old Robert Martin, Bob Martin & Co. is the result of a young man working in a local vet and growing increasingly concerned about the poor diet consumed by many pet dogs at the time.
To ensure that every dog could be kept in peak condition, he invented a conditioning powder and distributed it as a nutritional supplement. This led to the creation of a new market sector – pet healthcare – and an iconic public persona for “Bob Martin”.
The Martin family, still crazy about animals and still passionate about pet healthcare, is proud to own the company to this day.
